PBA is proud to sponsor the PortSecure 08 Canadian Port & Maritime Security Conference and Expo. The conference runs from May 22-23, 2008 at the Pan Pacific Hotel in Vancouver, BC.
PBAs regional office, located in Vanouver, has outgrown its old location and has moved to a more expansive office in Gastown. This move will give us some room to add key personnel and further enhance our ability to serve our clients.
The 2005 version of the PBA Christmas party was another huge success. Some of the boys felt it was necessary to shed a few clothes during the Bacci Ball auction in order to drive the bidding higher and raise money for the Victoria Food Bank. All in the name of fun and for a great cause.
PBA participated in a charity floor hockey tournament hosted by one of our clients. The tournament was very successful and raised several hundred dollars for charity.
We've redeveloped our on-line presence to provide a more in-depth overview of our services and experience.
We've recently hired an additional senior industrial engineer and senior designer to broaden our expertise and increase our overall capacity.
PBA was recognized for our role in the Advanced Traveller Information System project. Our team received the Award of Excellence in the soft engineering category.
We recently presented a well-received paper at the CITE Quad Conference titled "Transportation Security - Lower Mainland Initiatives". This paper discussed the impact that recent international security initiatives are having on the flow of goods and people and how agencies in the lower mainland are using innovative methods for achieving a higher level of security while balancing the need for operational efficiency.
Another successful PBA rager that saw many guests toast the sunrise.
We simply outgrew our space. Alpha Street was the place of our humble beginnings in 1996, but there were no more walls to knock down. We've relocated to a newly renovated 10,000 SF facility that provides ample room for future expansion.
As part of our strategic growth plan, we've opened an office in downtown Vancouver. This provides a stronger local presence and more responsive service for our lower mainland clients.
